Judd was extremely ambitious and full of talent as a journalist. He wasn't afraid of calling anyone or asking any question and as a result interviewed people no one in high school got to interview. He wanted to work for ABC news and he did. He was a terrific caricaturist.  His life and career were both too short.  I remember him as a kind and gentle person.

Judd use to say, "I will be the Next Walter Chronkite"
I was only at New Trier West  for the 2nd semester, having transfered from St Croix, US VI

i see they left offf the date, he passed on June 10, 2000, brain cancer.
I am 6' 6" and i believe he was 6' 4" or 5". As being a tranplant, doing all the work to get a high school deploma in 3 months what is done from 8tth grade to 12th,
Judd and i last saw each other at our sisters 8th Grade graduation, and he jokeingly cusse me out. i wam taller and would have been the tallest in our class. So at Graduation he got paird up with a the lartest girl in our class. Feeling no bond, I refused to go to graduation, a Blck Tie Formal event paring up Males and Femails i was told. I was told i needed parents permisson not to attend, but I said, I am not going and i said i have told my parents the same thngs.

The schools in the Virgin Islands  my fatther had started, and drew people from North Shore for staff etc. School there was very intimate, to the pont we invited teachers to our beach parties and outings.  Not completing schooing when so special was very disburbing, and disruptive.

I was grateful for the teachers that helped me get through all the state requriements.
It was a bit of a Culture Shock, as i worked in St Croix weekends at WSTX and WIVI raido and a few times a the local TV station. So looking forward to working at New Trier East & West Broadcast low power radio station. But that never happened. Truth is, it was such a luxury for a high school to have a live authentic radio station, but it was trated much like a joke and play pen. So Judd contiuned in broadcasting I gave up and ended up at Atari, and rep for Apple and introductin of the Macintosh, and oehr sales, service, support and tech positions.

Losing Judd was a great loss. He was out to be a top TV News Journalist, and did well at ABC News, and CNN. He is missed by those who worked with him.
